||Financial Educational Workshop to Focus on How to Think About Money
An educational workshop titled â€śFinancial Survival for Retirementâ€ť will be held on Tuesdays, October 1st and October 8th from 6:30-8:30PM at the New Hanover Executive Development Center (Next to the Library) at 1241 Military Cutoff Road.
This class focuses on the financial challenges and opportunities unique to todayâ€™s retirees. If you are either retired or getting close to retiring, and want straight-forward answers to your questions and concerns, you should enroll in this class.
Topics will include all of the key financial areas that can help you pursue financial peace of mind during your retirement years.
This course is designed to teach the fundamental principles of financial planning in retirement. You will learn how to better manage and control your investments; get information on basic tax reduction strategies; increase your monthly income; protect your lifeâ€™s savings from investment mistakes, and avoid unnecessary estate taxes.
Learn how to plan for the threat of healthcare catastrophe; how to reduce taxes on IRA/401k distributions; and how to pass your lifeâ€™s savings to your heirs with minimal probate, tax and legal costs.
Peter Starr will be teaching the program. He is a well-known financial educator and has owned his own company for more than 25 years, the last 10 while living in Wilmington. In addition to advising individuals and business owners on how to make financial decisions that work best for them, Peter also helps a variety of business owners achieve maximum value for their businesses so they can completely capitalize on their efforts.
Tuition for the two night course is $49.00 per couple.
