||Spring is in full swing, and in Kure Beach that’s reason enough to celebrate. Join us for the Kure Beach Street Festival, which returns this year on Saturday, April 28. Clear your calendar to enjoy a day full of free live music and children’s entertainment as well as the opportunity to purchase a variety of delicious food and handmade goods from local artisans. Festivities run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the picturesque Ocean Front Park, 105 Atlantic Ave., which offers sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Kure Beach Fishing Pier from its open-air pavilion. Both residents and visitors are invited to spend some time by the sea soaking up the sun and fun.
Attendees of all ages can dance along to the Funk, Motown, and Soul sounds of Carl Newton’s Review; and the kids won’t want to miss special performances by the popular No Sleeves Magic and Mr. Scooter:

True to Kure Beach’s family-friendly, small-town atmosphere, the festival will also have plenty of attractions to keep the little ones busy and happy. From noon to 4 p.m. in the lawn, children can enjoy free face painting from P3 Planning, information and handouts from the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, and craft making with materials and guidance generously donated by The Home Depot.
There will be 35 vendors offering a diverse assortment of goods, including jewelry, home decor, local photography, original paintings, soaps, candles, wines and more. And don’t worry about eating before you go because we’ll have food trucks and vendors to satisfy your cravings: Poor Piggy’s, Vittles, Firehouse Kettle Korn, Tastebuds Popcorn Carolina Beach, and Kona Ice.
