The Americana Association honored Carprenter's 12th studio recording, The Age of Miracles with the esteemed "Spirit of Americana Free Speech in Music Award". The award recognizes artists who have used their work to raise awareness and promote free speech. Past recipients of the prestigious award include Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Judy Collins and Joan Baez.
