RAEFORD, N.C. — A plastic-packaging company is bringing jobs to a North Carolina town.

Alpha Inc. said Wednesday the Austria-based company will open its first manufacturing facility in the state in Raeford. The company will invest $7.2 million and create 40 jobs in the next three years.

The new employees will create plastic bottles for shampoo, conditioners and body wash products.

Alpha received a $120,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund. The state grant will require the company to meet job creation and investment standards.

Alpha has more than 10,000 employees worldwide with clients in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

Raeford is located about 20 miles west of Fayetteville.
