CO forecaster discusses future of money in NC talk
RALEIGH, N.C. — The head of a Colorado think tank is in North Carolina to talk about what he sees is the future of money.
Futurist Thomas Frey of The DaVinci Institute is the inaugural speaker Wednesday for a new program in Raleigh sponsored by SunTrust Bank. The SunTrust Center for Strategic Futures plans to offer a series of events focusing on future economic trends.
Frey tells The News & Observer of Raleigh that the credit crunch is blocking the route to entrepreneurship some people choose after being laid off from their jobs. Under these circumstances, Frey says its natural for people to try Internet-based businesses with
low starting costs.
Frey also sees cash staying around in the digital future because people will demand anonymous money.
