Starting Friday night, you can go Christmas Carolina with Santa and his special “reindeer.”
Christmas caroling carriage rides begin at market and Water Street. Hours are from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children.

Keep the music flowing with a Christmas caroling bar crawl. It starts at the copper penny at 10 p.m. Make sure you wear Santa hats and other holiday attire. Song books will be provided.

The Girls Choir of Wilmington is holding its annual holiday concert. It’s at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. Admission is free.

The Christmas parades continue this weekend. You can catch one in Brunswick County on Saturday. The Bolivia Christmas parade starts at 11 a.m.

Forget the milk and cookies. You can eat breakfast with Santa Saturday. It’s from 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Community Boys and Girls Club. (901 Nixon Street) Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children sixteen and under.

Santa is going to be full Saturday. There’s another breakfast with St. Nick in Surf City. It’s from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Surf City Community Center. The plates are $5 per person.

Need some last minute gifts? You might find what you need during the jingle bell walk. You can buy music and art throughout downtown Wilmington. They’ll be set up in places like the Cotton Exchange parking lot…and Riverfront Park. The walk is from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

You don’t need the ghost of Christmas past to take a look back in time. The Burgwin-Wright house is holding a colonial Christmas Saturday and Sunday. The home will be decorated in the 1700’s Christmas tradition. You’ll also see a colonial surgeon demonstrate medicine during the era. Hours Saturday are from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, noon until 4 p.m. The cost is $10.

Sunday, the Tallis Chamber Orchestra will play seasonal tunes at the Bellamy Mansion.
Advance registration is a must. The $20 ticket includes the performance, refreshments, and a tour of the mansion. Call 251-3700 ext. 104 for tickets. It runs from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
