CDC recalls doses of H1N1 nasal spray, some distributed in Brunswick County

Video

Body

The Center for Disease Control is recalling more doses of the H1N1 nasal spray, including hundreds of doses distributed by the Brunswick County Health Department.

The vaccine was recalled for potency reasons and will not cause harm to anyone who received the spray.

Brunswick County gave out 500 doses of the recalled mist. The health department does not have any of the recalled vaccine left.

Nursing supervisor Jeanna Condron said, “(There is) no problem for those that received it. They don’t have to be revaccinated or anything like that. But do remember that most people that got it were children and they are going to have to have 2 doses if they’re under the age of 10 anyways.”

So far, the Brunswick County Health Department has given out more than 5,000 shots and almost 2,500 mists.
