Day of prayer unites many across Southeastern N.C.

Wilmington | A woman accidentally knocked over a lit candle, causing a fire to break out Sunday afternoon in her apartment.The Wilmington Fire Department responded to the apartment fire in building 5022 of Colonial Parke Apartments on Hunt Club Road, off New Centre Drive, just after 4 p.m. Sunday.

Rapist extradited to Brunswick after capture in Central America

Bolivia | A fugitive who was apprehended in Belize, Central America, was brought back to Brunswick County and will be sentenced Monday morning for convictions of statutory rape, indecent liberties with a child and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
