Housing Authority probes claims of $80,000 in unpaid wages
The Wilmington Housing Authority is investigating roughly $80,000 in unpaid wages to workers on one of its housing projects. Housing Authority CEO Mike Krause said the authority has asked the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the N.C. Department of Labor to look into claims by workers who say they have not gotten paid by subcontractor, N.C. Contracting Inc.
