‘Swamp Logger’ chats with Rotarians
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A TV star from the Discovery Channel’s “Swamp Loggers” rolled into downtown Wilmington today.
Fourth-generation logger Bobby Goodson and his company Goodson’s All-Terrain Logging have become big stars thanks to the show, which is shot in swamps and forests around the Cape Fear. This afternoon Goodson joined the man he logs for, a member of the Wilmington Downtown Rotary Club, to talk at the club’s luncheon.
“Part of the family that I work for, I’m not sure how many Corbetts there are, it’s a big family, and they own a lot of land and timber, and I’ve been working for them for about 15 years now, and Albert asked me if I could come here to the Rotary Club and just talk to the people,” Goodson said. “I’m not sure what I’m suppose to say yet, but I guess I’ll find out in a few minutes.”
Goodson did find out. He told Rotarians about how he got started in the logging business and what his influences are.
