Belville sets up hurricane debris collection site

BELVILLE, NC (NEWS RELEASE) -– The Town of Belville will begin accepting vegetative hurricane debris free of charge from Belville residents at a collection site beginning on Tuesday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Citizens must have a picture ID to confirm their residency, and only vegetative debris from the aftermath of Hurricane Irene will be accepted. Please contact Town Hall on Tuesday to obtain information regarding the location of the site.

Mayor Jack Batson and the Board of Commissioners are asking volunteers with trucks and/or trailers to assist in transporting the debris from Belville neighborhoods to the site. If you would like to help, please contact Town Hall.
