For Brunswick woman, 9/11 meant a race to survive
On 9/11, Valerie Kachura was sitting at her desk in the World Trade Center, where she worked for Aon Corp. She was on the 92nd floor of the South Tower when American Airlines Flight 11 slammed into the neighboring North Tower."We felt the jolt of the building in the South Tower," she said. "This girl screamed, ‘Oh my God.’"Valerie thought, "I don’t know what she saw, but I’m out of here."
