WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Maria is not headed for North Carolina. The storm will take a path similar to Katia, away from the United States. The Carolina coast will see an increased risk of rip currents as Maria passes by offshore, but no rain/wind are expected from the system.
Elsewhere, the tropics are quiet.
