FIRST ON 3: Finger pointing begins on why NC lost “Project Soccer”; Gov’s office releases documents
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The State Legislature and the Governor’s Office are going back and forth today on why Continental Tires decided to pick South Carolina to build a new plant.
Senator Phil Berger blames Governor Perdue and what he calls “pay-to-play politics,” refering to a story the AP did recently on people close to the governor who would have profited by the sale of land in Brunswick County.
This afternoon, the Governor’s Office released the chain of correspondence related to the pitching of the project.
