Aquarium offers trick or treating under the sea
FORT FISHER (WWAY) — If you are looking for a spooky, but safe place to take the kids trick or treating, you may want to think about going under the sea.
The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is having its tenth year of trick or treating under the sea starting Wednesday evening. There will be fun activities, games and even a few frightful sea creatures. Everyone is of course encouraged to dress up.
“In years past in has been one night and it was so popular that we split it into two nights, it has been such a success for the aquarium, and we love engaging the whole community and coming down before Halloween and doing something that is a lot of fun for the entire family,” said Robin Nalepa, the aquarium’s public relations coordinator.
You can buy tickets at the aquarium or in advance at www.ncaquariums.com. The event is Wednesday and Thursday nights from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Aquarium is also collecting old costumes and candy wrappers after the 31st as part of their Green Halloween initiative. They will accept the used ninja suits, princess dresses and all other spooky get-ups Nov. 1-30.
