‘Iron Man 3’ coming to Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It’s official: “Iron Man 3” will film in Wilmington. At a news conference at Screen Gems Studios this afternoon, Gov. Bev Perdue officially announced the latest installment in the popular film franchise starring Oscar nominee Robert Downey, Jr., will shoot in the Port City.
Perdue said “Iron Man 3” will be the largest movie ever produced in North Carolina. She says it will bring 550 high-quality, well-paying jobs, 1,000 acting opportunities and pump $80 million into the local economy.
