Haircut coupon supports Step up for Soldiers projects
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — If you need a trim and are feeling patriotic, a chain of barber shops wants to bring the two together.
Twelve Great Clips locations in the Wwilmington area are helping the group Step up for Soldiers through discounted hair cuts. Tom Russell, the founder of Step up for Soldiers, launched the promotion this afternoon by getting his hair cut.
For every $2 coupon redeemed during the promotion, Great Clips will donate 50 cents to the non-profit that supports troops, disabled veterans and their families in our area.
“To complete some of the projects that we do takes a lot of money,” Russell said. “We are helping a blind active duty US Army captain, a special forces triple amputee, and I just applied for a grant for a young Marine to redo his house, so money gets spent very fast when you are helping guys in need.”
You can get the $2 off coupon at StepupforSoldiers.org. The promotion ends November 18.
