STORMTRACK 3: Record warmth could end with big thunderstorms
Wilmington, NC (WWAY)- Wilmington set a new record high temperature of 80 degrees Tuesday afternoon, breaking the original record of 79 set back in 1906. Temperatures will remain above normal through Wednesday, but a strong cold front will bring a good chance of severe weather Wednesday morning/afternoon.
Once the cold front moves offshore Wednesday evening, cold (dry) air will arrive in time for Thanksgiving.
