County Commissioner Brian Berger arrested for allegedly violating protective order
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police arrested New Hanover County Commissioner Brian Berger, after he allegedly violated a domestic violence protection order. The order was issued against him in September by his ex-girlfriend, Heather Blaylock.
WWAY has discovered Berger retaliated against that order by taking Blaylock to small claims court multiple times. His claims against her vary from a $9 potted plant to $120 for a cockroach infestation, which he says she caused.
We will have much more on what led to Berger’s arrest and the documents we’ve obtained from small claims court coming up on WWAY News at 5.
