WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — As new water lines are activated as a part of the North 3rd Street Improvement Project, the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority has issued a water advisory for parts of downtown beginning Sunday, December 4 at 3 a.m. This is due to a necessary brief shutdown of service while new connections are being made. The boil water advisory has been issued for:
· 200 and 300 blocks of Market St.;
· 3rd St. between Princess and Ann St.;
· 200 and 300 block of Orange St.;
· 100-300 block of Dock St.;
· 200 and 300 block of Princess St.;

The advisory will remain in place until mandatory water testing is completed by CFPUA following the restoration of service. We anticipate that this will occur sometime late Sunday or early Monday. More information is also available at www.cfpua.org. The city regrets any inconvenience this may cause and will work with the Authority to restore service as quickly as possible.
