NC congressman hopes to leave hospital soon
GREENSBORO, NC (AP) — U.S. Rep. Howard Coble hopes to be out of a Greensboro hospital soon, after recuperating from the effects of a respiratory ailment.
The congressman’s office issued a statement Monday saying Coble is expected to be discharged from Moses Cone Memorial Hospital sometime on Tuesday.
Coble has been receiving physical therapy at the hospital since Dec. 21. He was originally hospitalized in Washington on Dec. 13 with an upper respiratory illness that depleted his sodium levels.
The 80-year-old representative was first elected in 1984 to represent the district around the eastern and southern part of the Triad.
