Shooting in Wilmington sends two to hospital
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are looking into a shooting late last night that sent two people to the hospital.
Investigators say the first shot was fired at 10:52 p.m. Monday near 600 Emory Street. At about the same time, police received word that a second victim was on the way to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Officers found a man shot in the back on the corner of North 30th Street and Emory Street. The second victim arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds to his right side.
Both victims are alert. The investigation continues.
