Judge dismisses case against NC protester

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) – A Wake County judge has dismissed a
trespassing charge against a Raleigh woman who was arrested at a
local protest convened by the Occupy movement.

The state chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union said the
case against 57-year-old Margaret Schucker was dismissed Tuesday.
The group represented Schucker after her arrest last October.

Schucker was arrested in front of the old State Capitol building
after protesters were expelled from the site. Schucker, who said
she needed to sit in a chair because of a disability, was charged
with trespassing after she refused to move.
