Three children die in Onslow Co. house fire

JACKSONVILLE, NC (WCTI12.COM) — Three children died in a fire at a Jacksonville home in an early-morning fire Thursday. Five other children and their mother were able to make it out.

That fire is on Old Maplehurst Road, off Wilmington Highway in Jacksonville. The children who died are between 10 and 14 years old, the friend said.

The kids’ mother was in the home at the time of the fire, the friend said. She was rushed to Onslow Memorial Hospital. The father was at work during the fire. He went to the hospital to check on his wife.

The family — whose home is a total loss — is asking for donations, including beds, clothes and food.

You can drop off items at 132 Humphrey Blvd. in Richlands; to get more information on how to help, call Tarrah Stiles at 910-389-5291 or 910-324-4634.
