Fayetteville man shot by officers, killed
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) – A Fayetteville man has been shot and
killed, and the two police officers involved in the shooting are on
Police say 26-year-old Roman Lee Drake was killed Tuesday
Police Sgt. Todd Joyce says officers were called around 2:15
a.m. after residents reported hearing gunshots during a party at a
Joyce said Drake returned to the home, then crashed his car into
a patrol car while trying to leave, and tried to run down an
officer. The officers ordered Drake to stop and then fired several

The State Bureau of Investigation, which investigates any fatal
officer-involved shooting, is looking into the incident.
