List of contested NC races

Here is a list of contested North Carolina races based on state’s unofficial vote totals:

Lieutenant Governor:

Republican Tony Gurley, 25 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Dan Forest, 33 percent of the votes.

Commissioner of Insurance:

Republican Mike Causey, 35 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Richard Morgan, 37 percent of the votes.

Commissioner of Labor:

Democrat Marlowe Foster, 33 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against John Brooks, 37 percent of the votes.

Secretary of State:

Republican Kenn Gardner, 30 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Ed Goodwin, 36 percent of the votes.

Superintendent of Public Instruction:

Republican Richard Alexander, 24 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against John Tedesco, 28 percent of the votes.

Congressional District 8:

Republican Scott Keadle, 22 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Richard Hudson, 32 percent of the votes.

Congressional District 9:

Republican Jim Pendergraph, 25 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Robert Pittenger, 32 percent of the votes.

Congressional District 11:

Republican Vance Patterson, 24 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Mark Meadows, 38 percent of the votes.

State Senate District 12:

Republican Ronald Rabin, 28 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Don Davis, 38 percent of the votes.

State Senate District 21:

Democrat Robert Clark III, 20 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Billy King, 24 percent of the votes.

State Senate District 41:

Republican John Aneralla, 36 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Jeff Tarte, 38 percent of the votes.

State Senate District 44:

Republican David Curtis, 34 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Chris Carney, 35 percent of the votes.

State House District 6:

Republican Arthur Williams, 36 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Mattie Lawson, 37 percent of the votes.

State House District 32:

Democrat Jim Crawford, 31 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Nathan Baskerville, 39 percent of the votes.

State House District 109:

Republican Wil Neumann, 24 percent of the votes, filed for a runoff against Dana Bumgardner, 35 percent of the votes.
