2 charged in break-in at NC home of dead toddler
FAITH, NC (AP) — Investigators in Rowan County have arrested two people in connection with a break-in at the home of a family attending the funeral of a 1-year-old toddler who drowned.
The sheriff’s office said 26-year-old Bobby Milam and 22-year-old Jessica Williams are jailed under $50,000 bond apiece. They’re charged with felony counts of breaking and entering, larceny and obtaining property. The two were arrested Friday. It’s not known if they have attorneys.
Officials said the couple lives next door to the family of Parker Munn, who drowned Sept. 11 after apparently falling into another neighbor’s decorative pond.
Authorities say more than $4,000 in property was taken from the home while Parker’s parents attended the funeral, and that the toddler’s personal items were found burned in the back yard of the suspects’ home.
