Fair’s Pre-School Day draws record crowd
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — There was a big but small turnout at the Cape Fear Fair & Expo this morning. A record 1,300 youngsters came out for Pre-School Day to see live music and enjoy their favorite rides.
Fair manager Skip Watson says Pre-School Day is for the younger kids who want to come to the fair, but don’t want to go at night and be with the older crowd.
“We found that the pre-schoolers and the little, smaller kids don’t have an opportunity when the big kids are out here, so we found out that for like $6 mom, dad and the kids can come,” Watkins said. “It’s an opportunity for our little friends to experience the fair without the big people crowd.”
Don’t forget, the fair will be open an extra day because of last weekend’s rainouts. The fair now runs through Sunday.
