New Hanover County to survey residents on services
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County is looking for feedback from residents about county services.
With turnover on the county commission, County Manager Chris Coudriet, who also is new to the job having taken over in July, wants to gain insight into how the community perceives county services and the level of satisfaction with those services received. With the information, Coudriet believes county staff, management and commissioners can better address services and programs valued by the community as well as identify opportunities for organizational-wide improvement.
“Delivering true value for taxpayer dollars begins first by engaging in a dialogue with our community about its perceptions and satisfaction with County services,” Coudriet said in a news release.
Later this month, the county will send a survey to about 4,000 randomly selected households with questions about their recent experience with New Hanover County, preferred ways to receive information, and the ranking of top priorities for the county.
“This survey is an opportunity to hear what our citizens have to say about what we do well and what needs improvement. Using these results, we can deliver more effective, efficient and responsive outcomes,” Coudriet said.
