Wilmington Ballet adds coastal flavor to ‘Nutcracker’
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — With Christmas less than a month away, the Wilmington Ballet Company is putting on quite the act.
Dancers will take the stage with a production of the timeless classic “The Nutcracker” this weekend. Full of entertainment and music for all ages, it even has a little coastal twist.
“We have a special scene in ours that is an ocean scene, where you go from the party scene to the land of sweets, so that’s a local flavor that’s particularly nice,” director Elizabeth Hester said.
The show will go on Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Minnie Evans Arts Center at Ashley High School.
Catch “Good Morning Carolina” through Friday for a chance to win free tickets.
