Jury convicts Brennick of murder in DWI crash
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County man will spend at least 15 years in prison for killing a mother of three in a drunk driving wreck two years ago.
A jury found Daniel Brennick guilty of second degree murder, felony death by motor vehicle and DWI in the crash that killed Satu Harris near Southport in May 2010.
“I applaud the jury for sending the message that cases like these are murder and nothing less,” District Attorney Jon David told WWAY.
A judge sentenced Brennick to between 15 years and 18 years, four months in prison.
