Severe weather potential for Wednesday
A powerful storm system moving through Louisianna, Alabama, and Georgia Tuesday night is expected to move Northeastward toward the Carolinas Wednesday. A warm front will lift through the area tonight into Wednesday morning, providing a juicy environment for thunderstorm development. A cold front associated with this system will push northward Wednesday afternoon and could potentially produce strong thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes. Currently, Southeastern North Carolina is under “Moderate” risk for severe weather Wednesday. The best window of time for severe weather potential will be between 12pm-6pm during the daytime heating hours. Please follow WWAY on twitter and facebook for the most recent weather updates.
