FIRST ON 3 UPDATE: Helicopter called in after crash closes I-40
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Emergency workers had to call in a helicopter to help transport patients from an accident that shut down I-40 in Pender County for a while today.
It happened near mile marker 401 in the westbound lanes.
A WWAY crew on the scene says it appears a collision between a car and a truck caused the car to flip. EMS and firefighters had to cut people out of the car.
We’ll have more on this accident tonight on WWAY NewsChannel 3.
