Wilmington Riverwalk to get repairs
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington’s downtown Riverwalk is undergoing construction for the next four months as part of the city’s five-year infrastructure improvement plan.
Crews will replace or repair 58 beams underneath the walkway. Because most of the work is taking place in the water, workers are specially trained in doing underwater repairs.
Repairs will also be made to the observation deck at the intersection of Water and Market streets.
