GE Foundation presents surprise check for $75K
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — GE Foundation presented a surprise check of a $175,000 to New Hanover Community Health Center. The grant money is a part of GE’s Developing Health effort in support of providing quality healthcare to underserved residents.
Developing Health is a three-year, 25 million dollar program created by the GE Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm.
“This donation was huge. It was absolutely huge for us because we want to continue to provide services for the uninsured and the underinsured so it was a major event for us today,” New Hanover Community Health Center CEO Aganette Young said.
