STORMTRACK 3: Stormy weather remains through Tuesday, pattern change by July 4th
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The stormy weather pattern will continue through Tuesday. Wednesday will be a transition day as a strong high pressure system pushes closer to North Carolina. By late week, the high pressure system will finally allow a drying process to begin in the WWAY viewing area.
Much of eastern North Carolina accumulated over a foot of rain in June, with a few isolated areas reporting much higher totals. Any additional rainfall this week could create sporadic flooding problems.
