FIRST ON 3: Women charged with break-ins involving young children, 2 suspects sought
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two young women are charged with home invasions in Brunswick County, where some of the victims were young children.
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says Jessica Joann Barnes, 18, and Brittany Nichole Watson, 21, both of Southport, are in jail under $500,000 bond each for first-degree robbery, second-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The charges stem from multiple break-ins last week in Southport. In one, investigators say Barnes threatened a five-year-old child with a gun while stealing $1,500 in cash and an iPhone. In another, they says children ages 2, 3 and 5 were among the victims.
Deputies are also looking for Timothy Ne’Kos McMillan and Tiffany Parish of Wilmington in connection to the crimes.
If you have any information, call the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
