STORMTRACK 3 : Snow line marching southward, some advisories still in effect
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Duplin and Onslow counties. A powerful cold front brought frigid temperatures to the area earlier this evening, and light snow will be possible as a weak disturbance travels through the state. Precipitation will end a few hours after midnight.
Locations within the Advisory area could see a dusting of up to 1 inch, while areas farther south (Brunswick, New Hanover, and Columbus, etc) will likely see a trace or less. Follow the latest snow reports with WWAY on Facebook and Twitter and our mobile news and weather apps.
Wednesday will be sunny but cold with temperatures remaining near the freezing mark during the afternoon.
