Strong storms on tap through Friday afternoon
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A strong cold front will march through the East Coast today bringing the chance for storms with gusty winds. Air is already very warm and moist ahead of this front, meaning some storms could become severe.
Here's a look at radar around 8:00 AM.
The action will start in Western Counties first around lunchtime, with storms making it to the coast last in the afternoon. The main threat with this system is gusty winds between 20-30 mph.
Remember, trees and power-lines have already been weakened by the past winter storm. That means gusty winds could be potentially damaging to property.
