The City of Wilmington had one last chance to sell its plan to annex Monkey Junction. Thursday night, the city hosted an annexation information meeting at Codington Elementary School.
Those who attended were able to ask questions to city staff from various departments, as well as learn about services offered to city residents. The Water, Sewer, and Taxes table was a popular spot for people with questions.
“The only thing I’m concerned about is that I’ll be paying more taxes and not getting much more service because I really have everything I require at this point,” said attendee Elsbeth Rhody.
There will be a public hearing on the proposed annexation at the April 7th City Council meeting. That is when residents will have the chance to share comments with City Council.
