Wake County schools experience three deaths in a week

WAKE FOREST, NC (AP) — Officials with the Wake County Public School System are offering sympathies after the deaths of three students in separate incidents in the past week.

Multiple media outlets report a 15-year-old high school student was killed and four others were hurt Monday when two vehicles collided in Wake Forest. Authorities say Braden Rock was riding in his sister’s car and died in the crash. Two other passengers in her car and the driver of the second car were hospitalized.

So far, no charges have been filed.

Last Tuesday, 13-year-old Keith Jones was struck and killed by a car while waiting for a school bus. Isaiah Langston died after collapsing on the field last Friday before a football game. Another Wake County high school student died after a wreck earlier this month.
