There are medical devices you can carry to help stop an allergic reaction, but now there are new gadgets that can prevent one from happening in the first place. Companies are developing devices designed to test the food you eat or even the air you breathe to determine if allergens are present.

WECT Investigates: Sheriff’s office permits sex offender to live near school

A viewer tip sent into the WECT newsroom revealed that a repeat sex offender was breaking the law. The District Attorney’s Office confirmed that the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office served William McHenry, 45, with a 30-day notice to move from his residence. His residence on the 100 block of Pine Valley Drive is across the street from the Point Institute. State law does not allow registered sex offenders to live within 1,000 feet from a school.

Rouzer puts full support behind President Trump when asked about special prosecutor

Car seat safety checks to expand to all WFD in June
