Dog owner targets ordinance, wants pets back

Bolivia | Larry Kirby wants his dogs back, and he doesn’t want the word “dangerous” associated with them.<br>Kirby is appealing a decision by Brunswick County’s health director that his Doberman pinschers, Teddy and Nina, are “potentially dangerous” because they acted in a vicious and attacking manner.

Lucile Jones lived only four of her 96 years in Wilmington, but brought with her a lifetime of historical events.<br>Jones died Aug. 6, at the age of 96.<br>Born in 1912 in Greensboro, Jones shared her birth year with the sinking of the <i>Titanic</i> and the opening of Fenway Park in Boston.
