One person injured in Oak Island fire

One person suffered minor injuries in a fire that extensively damaged an Oak Island home Tuesday morning.<br>Oak Island Fire Department responded to the fire at 101 N.E. 23rd St. at 8 a.m. Five people were inside the home preparing breakfast when they were alerted by a smoke detector to a fire in the back bedroom, Fire Chief John House said.
