Minnie Evans book to raise money for arts education center, Evans family

Fundraising in the medical community has bankrolled a book about and filled with the art of the late Minnie Evans, a renowned Wilmington folk artist, and proceeds from book sales, in part, will benefit fledgling artists through the DREAMS Center for Arts Education.

Creekwood residents eager for traffic improvements

Creekwood is next in line for construction of “traffic calming” devices through Wilmington’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program. Over several years, city planners met with residents of 12 neighborhoods throughout the city, documenting their concerns and suggesting “traffic calming” devices.
