Wave fares going up in October

The Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority unanimously voted Thursday afternoon to increase regular fares on Wave Transit buses from $1 to $1.50 per ride.<br>The decision was made after a third public hearing about the proposed fare hike Thursday morning.<br>The increase will take effect Oct. 20.
