Cop hit during traffic stop ‘doing OK’

A Wilmington police officer who was injured by a drunken driver while he was conducting a traffic stop Friday night on Carolina Beach Road is doing OK, according to the State Highway Patrol.

Wilmington officer injured when his car is hit from behind

A Wilmington police officer was injured and taken to a hospital about 11:30 p.m. Friday when his unmarked red Mustang was hit from behind during a traffic stop on Carolina Beach Road.

Funeral attendees’ cars broken into

Friday, September 26th, 2008

At least four vehicles were broken into Friday afternoon as the drivers of the vehicles attended a funeral at Greenlawn Memorial Park.<br>The vehicles were parked in a line at the cemetery, located at 1311 Shipyard Blvd., when they were found broken into just after 1 p.m.<br>- Shannan Bowen
