Police searching for masked Burger King bandit

Deputies are looking for a man who robbed the Burger King at 2707 N. College Road on Sunday night, officials said.<br>About 9:50 p.m. a man entered the store with his right hand wrapped and implied that underneath the wrapping, he had a handgun, according to 1st. Sgt. T.L. Fuss,<br>spokesman for the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Man pleads guilty in fire at American Legion

Bolivia | A local man pleaded guilty Monday in Brunswick County Superior Court to charges stemming from an August 2006 fire at the American Legion in Calabash. <br>Adam Clayton Pugh, 44, of Calabash, was sentenced to three to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty to burning an unoccupied building and breaking and entering.

New Hanover to require permit for breeding dogs

The new rules, passed unanimously by the county commissioners, will require any household that produces four or more litters of puppies each year to obtain a free kennel permit.
