Beach tourism took a dip this year, with businesses reporting fewer visitors and less spending than last year in New Hanover and Brunswick counties.<br>Lodgings took a hit in places like Oak Island and Carolina Beach this year. The bright spot, however, was Topsail Island, which saw an uptick in business.
