Cannon recovered from presumed Blackbeard ship

Pender will extend early voting hours Saturday

Election officials in Pender County will extend early voting hours until 5 p.m. on Saturday because of heavy turnout and long lines.<br>Brunswick and New Hanover counties will not extend voting hours. They will close the polls as planned at 1 p.m. Saturday.
